We have an exciting opportunity within the Family Placement Team for a Senior Social Work Practitioner.

You can expect:
A comprehensive induction, a managed caseload, regular supervision, excellent administrative support and ongoing training.
About the Role:
Senior Social Work Practitioner in the Family Placement Team specialising in supervising Foster Carers and Kinship Carers. The post carries a case load, which will include supporting carers and undertaking fostering assessments and viability assessments. Additionally, you may be responsible for the supervision of a small number of Family Placement Team staff and developing family finding and matching practice.
You will be able to evidence a strong ability to analyse information and formulate outcome focused plans for children and their families. Applicants must be confident in writing professional assessments/reports as well as presenting their evidence verbally. Applicants need to have very strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise their work effectively and in a timely way.
About you:
To apply you will have:
- A relevant social work qualification
- Knowledge of the legislative framework and legal proceedings that governs children’s and fostering services
- Knowledge of theory and practice applicable to social work
- IT skills to enable operation of standard electronic systems
