Lecturer - H2O Tiverton
Job description
Petroc is a highly successful institution, delivering education and skills training in Devon and beyond and has an exciting opportunity for a part time Lecturer, H2O (Home to Onsite education),
based at our Mid Devon campus.
The main function of this role is to work collaboratively both within the department of H20 provision and with internal and external stakeholders on the delivery and development of high-quality curriculum programmes.
H20 is an innovative provision that supports young people back into education. The programme involves home mentoring leading to a full transition to onsite learning by the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will have a subject related qualification at a minimum of degree level (or equivalent), appropriate teacher qualification or be willing to work towards achieving it. Previous experience delivering learning on a qualification or vocational based programme is preferred.
For further information, please download the job description and terms and conditions.
Petroc is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All positions are subject to the completion of checks,
including an Enhanced DBS clearance. We are permitted to ask whether an applicant has any convictions, cautions or reprimands or final warnings (spent or otherwise) which would not be filtered in line with current guidance as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020).
In line with the most recent Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), an online search will also be carried out for short-listed candidates prior to interview. This is to identify any incidents or issues that are publicly available online,
which the College may explore with applicants at interview. This is a safeguarding check to assess if the individual is suitable to work with young and/or vulnerable learners.
