This permanent, full-time position offers a unique opportunity to inspire and nurture a passion for music in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
The successful candidate will have the chance to shape a dynamic and comprehensive music curriculum within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and deliver engaging music lessons for students at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels.
- Design innovative lesson plans and assessments that align with the school's curriculum objectives and cater to a range of musical interests and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student creativity, collaboration, and performance.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote individual growth and achievement.
- Actively contribute to the development and enhancement of the music department's offerings, including extracurricular activities, ensembles, and performances.
Candidate Profile :
- Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching music to secondary school students, ideally across multiple key stages.
- Strong subject knowledge and expertise in a variety of musical genres and styles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for music education and a commitment to inspiring young musicians.
