Our well-regarded secondary school in Bexley seeks a qualified and passionate Design Technology Teacher to join our dynamic Design Technology department on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to inspire a love of Design Technology and equip students with valuable knowledge and skills.
About the Role :
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will :
- Deliver engaging and stimulating Design Technology lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8)
and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11).
- Foster a love of Design Technology in students, encouraging exploration of the world around them and developing their critical thinking skills.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision, national requirements, and the latest advancements in geographical pedagogy.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Design Technology department and across the school to ensure a cohesive and engaging program.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Qualified Design Technology Teacher with a proven track record of success in engaging students and developing their geographical understanding.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of Design Technology in students of all abilities.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to be part of a dynamic department and contribute to its ongoing development.
