Job description

job details

Do you want more from your teaching role?

Do you want to be respected, have responsibility, independence and use your creativity as a teacher?

If you want an alternative teacher role in a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment, then you look no further.

We are working with a Manchester based EBSD school who are searching for a Primary Teacher. The school is for pupils in years 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, is an exciting place to both teach and learn.

An important focus of the school is that every person is valued and everyone is encouraged to succeed to the best of their ability, both students and teachers.

In the last OFSTED Inspection the school was judged to be good.

The role we have available is in a nurture class. This allows the teacher to create and develop a deeper relationship with the students.

The role is not just that of an educator but someone the pupils can confide in, seek both comfort and support in a nurturing and welcoming environment.

Furthermore the role focuses on personal development of the students to try and help prepare for their future life in education.

Being a nurture class the class will be much smaller than mainstream classes, in groups of up to 8 with a teaching assistant also.

The focus of the class is to evaluate the learning, social and emotional needs of the students and provide help and support to overcome any difficulties or barriers to learning.

Improving language development and communication are other areas of importance. As a teacher you are allowed to express yourself and be creative as this can have a positive impact on the students, offering them alternative and different learning opportunities.
