About The Role 6 Months Contract Inside IR35 We have recently installed Defender for Servers (plan 1) across our Windows and Linux hybrid estate.
We are now looking to continue with the implementation of best practise, complete with automated remediation and a complete review of the Defender security posture.
50% of the role will involve designing and implementing this practise. The remaining 50% of the role will involve working within the Infrastructure BAU team to remediate 3rd line issue as they are escalated from ITSC team.
Core Hours :
Initially covering the core hours within a team 8am-6pm Monday Friday, with potential for working a varied 35-hour week as required by the business.

Minimum Criteria
Good knowledge of Microsoft Defender Suite (Defender for servers Plan 1)
oGood knowledge of Hybrid onboarding
oGood Knowledge of threat and vulnerability Management
oExcellent knowledge of Defender for Cloud portal
- Good knowledge of Azure ARC
- Good experience of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (2012,2016,2019,2022)
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience delivering complex change within infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Strong belief and capabilities in sharing knowledge within the team
- Good knowledge of Active Directory
- Intermediate knowledge of M365, Exchange and Azure AD
- Understanding of ITIL Framework
- Capacity planning / performance analysis of Infrastructure
- PowerShell Scripting
- Foundation knowledge of AWS
- Good understanding of DHCP, DNS and related technologies
- Security and governance policies using Azure monitor and Defender for cloud (Servers Plan 1)
- Monitoring and patching, security reviews and policy adherence
