Job description
Main duties of the job The role will : Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of high quality specialist care for people with moderate to severe eating disorders.
Undertake training in phlebotomy in order to monitor the physical health of people with severe eating disorders under the guidance of the Consultant PsychiatristManage high levels of risk in the community in partnership with the consultant pscyhiatrists and senior support workers, promoting service user recovery as well as safety whenever possibleLearn to use the NICE recommended interventions for eating disorders such as SSCM (Specialist Supportive Clinical Management), CBT or CBTE,
MANTRA (the Maudsley Model of Treatment for Anorexia) as well as motivational, DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) and other appropriate clinical interventionsBe responsible for liaising with the GP practices in the quadrant for which the nurse is responsible.
Be required to teach other nursing and non-nursing personnel. Be a role model through their own good practice. Be responsible for maintaining clinical standards, and team systems under the direction of the Team Leader and Professional Lead.
Assist the team in maintaining effective team working processes, including outcome measures. Be expected to deputise for the Team Leader in their absence.
