THE ROLE
The Director of Security’s primary function is to direct and coordinate the activities of the security team and coordinate government and law enforcement agencies to ensure our hotel, guests, colleagues and their possessions are kept safe at all times.
They will also have ultimate responsibility for Health and Safety and Critical response across the hotel.
Your tasks will include but not be limited to :
- Prepare, execute and manage safety and security procedures.
- Conduct business continuity, crisis management, workplace violence prevention along with disaster preparedness plans.
- Oversee all Safety and Security operations for specific events.
- Prepare, help and manage relations with law enforcement and government agencies.
- Oversee performance of 24 / 7 Security Staff, varied third-party contracted relationships.
- Prepare safety as well as security awareness programs for all hotel colleagues.
- To offer strong leadership, mentoring, and guidance to your team.
- To be an advocate for training and development in order to foster progression and retention throughout your department.
- To ensure that company and statutory standards and legislations are adhered to, so that our hotel, guests and colleagues are kept safe at all times.
- To be an ambassador for Nobu as well as a strong leader who embodies our values and commitment to our teams.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a Senior Security management role within the luxury market of the hotel industry.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, productivity, inventory controls, P&L; analysis for security and safety division cost controls.
- This individual must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events.
- Knowledge of Opera, Fourth Hospitality and Microsoft Office.
