1 : 1 SEN Teaching Assistants
Location : Bournemouth
Rate : £12.82 per hour
Contract type : Full-time or Part-time (based on candidate availability)
Start Date : November 2024 or January 2025
Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis?
GSL Education are looking for dedicated 1 : 1 Special Educational Needs ( SEN) Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming team in Bournemouth .
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the educational journey of individual students who need additional support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide personalised one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Assist students with their learning,
helping them overcome challenges and stay engaged in the classroom.
- Implement tailored learning strategies in line with individual education plans (IEPs).
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN coordinators to ensure the best learning outcomes.
- Offer emotional and behavioral support as needed, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will :
- Have previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
- Show a passion for supporting students’ learning and development.
- Be patient, understanding, and able to build rapport with individual students.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
