About the Role
The successful candidate will lead a large highly motivated Cleaning Operatives to ensure we deliver a high standard cleaning service to our Queen Mary’s buildings.
We currently have 20hr and 30hr per week positions at our Mile End campus (Monday to Friday 5am-9am or 9am-3pm).
About You
- You should be passionate about delivering a first-class cleaning service to Queen Mary.
- Hold a Vocational qualification in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent relevant cleaning experience.
- You should have previous experience of leading a cleaning team.
- You should be able to plan and organise the daily duties of the service teams,
producing and monitoring rota’s ensuring a fair and effective distribution of work and to make adjustments, as and when required, in line with operational needs.
- To monitor the performance of staff and contribute to annual appraisals.
- To ensure the reporting and recording of staff absence in accordance with Queen Mary Absence Management policies, carrying out return to work meetings as required.
- To ensure all staff are adequately trained to carry out cleaning and waste removal tasks to an acceptable level.
