A well-respected college in Southwark seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography teacher to join its dynamic faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to shape young minds and foster a deep understanding of our planet's landscapes, cultures, and contemporary issues.
About the Role :
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Geography lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and a love for learning about the world.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of geographical concepts, physical and human geography themes, and current global challenges.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Geography department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to college-wide events.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a valid QTS in Geography or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for geography and a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness.
