Our esteemed school in Hounslow seeks a talented and experienced Head of Design Technology to join our dynamic faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to inspire and nurture young minds in a supportive and academically rigorous environment.
About the Role :
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Design Technology department, aligning with the school's overall vision and educational goals.
- Oversee the quality of teaching, learning,
and assessment within the department.
- Develop and implement a stimulating and challenging Design Technology curriculum that incorporates the latest advancements in design education.
- Lead the recruitment, development, and performance management of Design Technology teaching staff.
- Manage the department's budget effectively to ensure adequate resources for delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and practical skills development.
- Represent the department at school leadership meetings and contribute to wider school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate :
- A highly qualified and experienced Design Technology teacher with a proven track record of leadership success.
- A deep understanding of the National Curriculum for Design Technology and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire students,
fostering a love of design and problem-solving.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
