Looking for Flexible Teaching Opportunities in York After Half-Term?
Are you a qualified Primary Teacher seeking the flexibility to manage your own schedule around current or future commitments?
We are urgently looking for Primary Teachers in York and surrounding areas to work flexibly with the year groups and schools of your choice.
About the Role
As our network of partner schools continues to grow, we are in urgent need of talented Primary specialists to provide flexible, short-term supply cover 3-5 days per week.
Opportunities are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 in our partner primary schools. You can choose the schools and year groups that fit your availability.
Most of the work will be pre-booked, though you may occasionally be asked to be on standby for same-day bookings between 7 and 9 am.
While work is typically planned, we encourage teachers to have their own bank of resources on hand, just in case. You’ll follow each school’s policies, mark pupils’ work, and leave handover notes for the class teacher.
Ideal Candidates
- Hold UK QTS and have experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
- Are available for a minimum of 3 days per week most weeks
- Have access to your own transport and are happy to travel up to 30 minutes for placements
If you’re interested in longer-term placements, we frequently assist teachers in securing these after working on a temporary basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
