Role summary / purpose of job
We are seeking a Senior Change Manager to join our global MBD team to support the design and delivery of a firm-wide business development transformation programme.
Supported by a Business Analyst and a Communications Manager, the Senior Change Manager will take ownership of the strategy and develop the change, adoption, communication and training plans required to transform the firm’s approach to business development and client relationship management, leveraging the power of Salesforce CRM.
The ideal candidate will have held similar senior change roles in a global organisation and will have excellent understanding of business development processes and activities in a professional services environment.
The role requires excellent influencing, communication and advisory skills, strong business acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships and operate credibly with senior stakeholders across the global firm.
About Marketing & Business Development (MBD)
MBD is a dynamic global team which includes business development specialists, research analysts, brand, marketing and communications experts.
By working collaboratively, our team shapes the firm’s client strategy, completes analysis of complex business issues, targets opportunities, develops compelling proposals and creates content and marketing campaigns that lead our digital presence.
Together, we define the client experience and shape the perception of Freshfields around the globe.
Key responsibilities
The Senior Change Manager will :
Assess challenges, opportunities and change readiness
Design,
plan and lead the delivery of a compelling suite of global business development transformation activities aligned to the firm’s client strategy and growth plan
Work with the Business Analyst and the Salesforce Development team to transform business requirements into functional configuration requirements, processes, workflows and acceptance criteria, which support the delivery of clearly defined benefits to the business
Own and manage engagement, change impact assessments and the stakeholder map
Lead and facilitate change workshops, focus groups, online meetings and training activities
Advise and coach project team members on change management best practices
Contribute expertise to the change communication strategy, working with the Communication Manager
Provide regular updates to the project management team, CMO and other senior stakeholders
Demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills, as well as coaching and mentoring colleagues to support their careers and personal development goals.
Key requirements
Change Management experience in leading global change projects, ideally within a professional services organisation and / or related to sales and business development process transformation
Experience of Salesforce or other enterprise-wide CRM platforms preferred
Experience in the design, oversight and delivery of enterprise-wide training programmes
Experience in the development of a change communications strategy
Excellent facilitation and coaching skills which engage and motivate groups and individuals
Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment,
be comfortable with ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Competencies
IT literate, fluent in MS Office, MSP.
Fluent spoken English, with concise writing and excellent presentation skills
Ability to hold the room and lead among leaders, whilst considering the soft skills required to build trust with a broad range of stakeholders
Strong influencing skills and business acumen
Strong leadership and people management skills
Confident, approachable and professional manner
Pragmatic and thoughtful judgement on risks, issues and escalations
