About the Opportunity
Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Food Technology educator with a dedication to inspiring students in the culinary arts?
We are partnering with a highly regarded school in Hounslow, achieving an "Outstanding" Ofsted rating, to find an exceptional Food Technology Teacher to join their vibrant Design and Technology department.
This exciting role offers the chance to make a significant impact, nurturing students' love for food, practical skills,
and a healthy understanding of nutrition.
You'll play a key role in delivering engaging and informative lessons, fostering creativity, and preparing students for success at GCSE and beyond.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive Food Technology curriculum that aligns with national standards and departmental goals, catering to Key Stage 3 and GCSE students.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes culinary exploration, practical skills development, and a positive approach to healthy eating.
- Utilize a well-equipped kitchen facility to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
- Effectively assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Design and Technology department, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development and fostering a positive learning environment.
Your Ideal Profile :
- Possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
in Design and Technology with a specialism in Food Technology.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of current curriculum trends and assessment practices in Food Technology.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Be passionate about fostering a love of food and nutrition in students, while promoting practical skills and safe food handling practices.
- Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive school environment.
