Job Title : SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location : Macclesfield
Type : Temp to Perm
Salary : £95 £115 per day (dependent upon experience)
About the Role : We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a specialised provision catering to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The provision is located in the picturesque town of Macclesfield.
Responsibilities :
- Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviour, helping them manage their emotions and develop coping strategies.
- Implement behaviour intervention plans and support students in their academic and social activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere where students can thrive.
Requirements :
- Experience working with children or young adults with ASC or SEMH needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
Qualifications :
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
