The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students across all key stages, fostering a love for drama and the performing arts.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that stimulate and challenge students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the National Curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Organise and direct school productions and extracurricular drama activities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in staff meetings, events,
and continuous professional development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Drama or Performing Arts.
- Proven experience teaching drama at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
- Passionate about drama and committed to inspiring a love for the subject in students.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, innovative, and eager to contribute to the development of the drama department.
