Job description

Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) f or our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge / Hayes / Northolt / Greenford / West Drayton etc)

PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED

£17.00 to £19.00 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)

Depending on experience, overtime, nights, weekends etc)

Requirements :

- Valid UK CAT C licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
- Valid CPC and TACHO
- Manual driving licence






- You must be over the age of 25 years for insurance purposes
- At least 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)
- Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
- Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
- Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards

Type of shifts (depending on Company) :

- A to B drops, Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 10 drops)
- Movies / TV and Events
- Builders merchants and Scaffolding
- Insulation & Dry Lining
- Shifts are mainly during the week Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)

All-round Duties :

- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage,





and fuel consumption
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Rates of pay :

- We are paying for minimum 8 hours a day
- Overtime is paid after 9 hours (breaks are not paid)
- PAYE between £17.00 and £19.00 per hour (rates differ for experience, nights, weekends, bank / public holidays and overtime)

For the right candidates we are willing to up-skill you (HIAB certificate)
