About the Role :
- Design and deliver engaging and informative English lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of core English principles, literary analysis, and creative expression.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to school-wide events.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to bring literature and language learning to life (as applicable).
- Play a role in nurturing the confidence and critical thinking skills of young women within a single-sex environment.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for English literature and language,
with a captivating teaching style that inspires girls.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a single-sex learning environment.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for the written word.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
- A commitment to supporting the holistic development of young women is desirable.
