Our client is seeking an Senior Security Analyst to support firewall log analysis and rule optimization efforts in the banking sector. (-37)
Must Have :
- 5+ years of experience with drafting and implementing firewall changes for Palo Alto Firewalls
- 5+ years of experience with firewall log analysis
- Experience with searching CMDB for logical grouping
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting network communications
- Familiarity with change management processes
Nice to Have :
- Experience working on Data Loss Prevention projects
- Knowledge of working with firewall management teams in medium-sized teams (5-15 members)
Description :
The client’s Security Operations team is seeking a skilled Security Analyst to assist in improving network security by analyzing firewall logs and optimizing overly permissive rules across internal firewalls.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed log analysis, developing traffic patterns, and drafting improved firewall rules.
The role also involves ensuring consistency across multiple firewalls and preparing clear change documentation for implementation by the Firewall Management team.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct detailed log analysis to identify traffic patterns
- Draft and implement optimized firewall rules for Palo Alto Firewalls
- Ensure rule consistency across multiple internal firewalls
- Search the CMDB to assist with logical network grouping
- Troubleshoot network communications issues
- Collaborate with the Firewall Management team to ensure smooth change management
