Job description

We are looking for a Senior Social Media Producer to join the team at Absolute Radio.

This is an exciting opportunity to create social media content for one of the UK’s biggest radio networks. As a Senior Social Media Producer, you will be planning and creating digital content for Absolute Radio, working with our presenters, artists, and big-name guests to bring the brand to life for our audience of reluctant adults .

You will work closely with the Dave Berry Breakfast Show team to create dynamic online content that captures the essence of the show and resonates with our audience.

You will also work with the wider on-air team to cover and amplify station activity.

Reporting to the Head of Social,





you will be at the heart of our social media strategy, producing and curating content that drives engagement and amplifies the reach of Absolute Radio.

You’ll need to have a healthy understanding of Absolute Radio’s music output, and know your High Flying Birds from your Eagles, and your Stone Roses from your Queens of the Stone Age.

You will collaborate with other teams around the station including Marketing, Programming, Music and Commercial. This role is perfect for a creative individual with strong digital content skills and a deep understanding of what engages audiences on social media.

This is a hands-on production role, we’re looking for someone who can come up with a concept and turn it around themselves.

You are confident and show initiative in bringing fresh thoughts to the table, and you’re able to build working relationships with both our presenters and the wider Absolute Radio team.

This is an office-based role, 2-3 days a week in London,





with an expectation that you will be in the studio during Breakfast show hours (0600 1000) at certain points each week.

What you’ll be doing :

Collaborating with the Dave Berry Breakfast Show team to generate creative social media ideas and content that reflects the show's warm and funny atmosphere.

This will involve some weekly shifts that start during Breakfast Show hours.







- Developing and producing engaging social media content including social videos, graphics, photos and written posts tailored to Absolute Radio’s audience.
- Monitoring and analysing social media trends, audience behaviours, and platform updates to keep Absolute Radio’s social media presence current and effective.
- Engaging with Absolute Radio’s audience across all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, in the Absolute Radio tone of voice.
- Managing Absolute Radio’s social media content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
- Supporting the Head of Social in day-to-day planning and wider projects and deputise for them during leave.






- Working with the wider Absolute Radio network team on station initiatives and commercial projects.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Ensuring all content aligns with Absolute Radio brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style.
- Working out of hours at Absolute Radio events, live posting on our social media platforms and creating content on the go, when required.

What you’ll bring :

- An experienced social media professional with an excellent understanding of the digital landscape, particularly the creation of engaging, optimised content for various platforms, with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok.
- Comfortable shooting and filming content on mobile, as well as confident in directing and briefing presenters, guests,





and other team members where necessary.
- Confident in presenting ideas and approaching challenges with a positive attitude
- Proactive, collaborative and organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of all social media platforms and experience in planning and scheduling content across them.
- Highly proficient in using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and apps like CapCut.
- Ability to film content using Canon or Sony video cameras is a plus but not a requirement.
- Ability to design social thumbnails and graphics using Adobe Photoshop.
- Confident social copywriter who can write in the Absolute Radio tone of voice.
- Knowledge of contemporary and classic rock and indie music is a must.
- Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Passion for radio,





music, and comedy.
