We are seeking a skilled and organized Transport Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our delivery service, ensuring our products arrive on time and in perfect condition. Role overview:As the Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our delivery fleet, coordinating routes, managing drivers, and ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
You will also maintain compliance with health and safety standards and ensure vehicles are well-maintained.
Key responsibilities:Plan and coordinate delivery routes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Manage, train, and motivate the team of delivery drivers.
Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure all vehicles meet safety and legal standards. Ensure all deliveries are made on time and customer satisfaction is maintained. Liaise with bakery staff to coordinate the timely dispatch of products.
Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with company policies and transport regulations. Maintain records of delivery logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections. Resolve any delivery issues or complaints in a timely manner.
Requirements:Valid driving license. Proven experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role, ideally within the food industry. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple routes and schedules.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
