A well-established independent girls' school in Lambeth seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography teacher to join its dynamic faculty.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to nurture a love of learning about our planet and its people within a supportive and empowering all-girls environment.
About the Role :
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Geography lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and a love for learning about the world.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of geographical concepts, physical and human geography themes, and current global challenges.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Geography department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to school-wide events.
- Foster a love for fieldwork and geographical exploration through engaging trips and activities (where applicable).
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a valid QTS in Geography or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for geography and a captivating teaching style that inspires young women.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a single-sex learning environment.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
- A commitment to supporting the holistic development of young women is desirable.
