SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity Primary School (Droylsden)

Location : Droylsden, Greater Manchester

Start Date : After October Half Term

Contract : Full-time (Temporary, with the possibility of extension)

Salary : Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Droylsden.







This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children who require additional support due to special educational needs and make a positive impact on their academic and personal development.

The Role :

- Position : SEN Teaching Assistant
- Support : Working 1 : 1 with pupils or in small groups to assist with their learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation
- Focus : Supporting students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Collaboration : Liaising with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create an inclusive and nurturing environment
- Development : A chance to develop your skills in behaviour management, learning interventions, and differentiated support techniques

Requirements :

- Experience working with children with SEN, either in an educational setting or as part of your degree (e.g. Psychology, Education)
- A patient, empathetic approach, with strong communication skills
- The ability to build rapport with children, helping them feel supported and confident in their learning
- A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education






- Prior experience in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
