Job Title : Treasury Trainee

At Next, we are currently looking for a Treasury Trainee to join our Finance team, someone with a can-do’ attitude who’s eager to learn and develop in a fast-paced retail environment.
Reporting to the Group Treasurer, you will be an integral part of our department, gaining hands-on experience and insights into the management of our company’s financial assets and liabilities.
This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of a Treasury function whilst supporting our team in day-to-day operations.
The Role :
As a Treasury Trainee at Next,
you’ll be part of a highly skilled Treasury team responsible for managing the company's liquidity, investments, and financial risks.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in a range of treasury activities, including cash flow management, foreign exchange, and financial reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, an eagerness to learn, and a proactive mindset to build a career in treasury and finance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the daily cash management, including cash flow forecasting and ensuring the company’s liquidity is maintained.
- Support the monitoring and management of foreign exchange (FX) exposures, ensuring accurate reporting and timely execution of FX transactions.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual treasury reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
- Assist in managing intercompany loans and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Provide support for treasury-related projects,
including process improvements and systems upgrades.
- Liaise with other departments within the finance function to provide treasury insights and support their operations.
- Develop a deep understanding of treasury operations, including debt management and financial risk management.
- Take ownership of tasks and show initiative in suggesting improvements to processes and procedures.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new financial systems.
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field would be advantageous, but we welcome applications from candidates with a strong interest in treasury and the right attitude to succeed.
