Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Support
A highly reputable school in Oxford are looking for people to come in and support their students with their significant mental health needs.
The role as a Mental Health Support Worker :
- To support students regulate and wok through their emotions
- Encourage positive coping strategies
- Follow through with and facilitate any interventions that are in place
- To provide support to the class teacher
- To encourage children to do their best
- Help manage, de-escalate and redirect any classroom behaviour
- Listen to the children read and practice their phonics
The successful Mental Health Support Worker :
- A calm and compassionate personality
- Proactive
- Patient
- Passionate about helping children with mental health needs
- You must understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
- Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
- Must have right to live / work in the UK we not offer sponsorships
