Job Type: Full-time

Salary: DOE

What are the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust looking for?

We are looking for someone who injects creativity into everything they do. Passionate about creating content, we are looking for someone with outside-of-the-box ideas to make our social media engaging and relatable. We are currently heading into a digital transformation and have recently given our website a face-lift and it is time for you to do the same for socials! We have a loyal audience, but we are looking to expand to get the next generation interested in saving lives.

Why do we do what we do?

In 1993,

Daniel De-Gale was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. He became the 1st black individual in the UK to receive a stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor. Unfortunately, due to complications with his health, Daniel passed in 2008. Daniel’s story could have been different if his match had been found sooner.

As a leading Blood cancer/disorder charity, the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust is dedicated to raising awareness of the severe shortage of donors of Black heritage in the United Kingdom on the stem cell (bone marrow), blood, and organ donor registers.

We believe that no one should die waiting for their donor match.

Job Summary

You do not need to have all the experience in the world, we are open to looking at all candidates, we want someone who is passionate about ideas and has the willingness to learn. Your focus will be on content creation for our socials and working with influencers to create relatable content that will attract different audiences.

This is a hybrid role,

and there may be some hours you need to work outside of office time to attend events to capture content. Some of the events we have attended and which you could attend include City Splash, Black Pride Notting Hill Carnival and more!

We have also worked on campaigns previously with well-known names such as Chunkz, Stevo and Chian Reynolds – you could be a vital part of these campaigns.
