The Role
In Canada, reporting to the Operations/Project Director, the Senior/Project Manager will be accountable for project planning and start-up, project financials, project pre-construction, project execution and close-out. With Superintendents/General Superintendents responsible for the day to day site production.
The way that projects in Canada are structured is a little different to what you'll have experienced in Scotland/the UK - Project Managers can come from both an operational project delivery background,
or a commercial background (quantity surveying) - but we've been recruiting in Canada for over 15 years and can walk you through this in detail, providing detailed job descriptions etc.
In order to be successful, you'll need a strong track record handling the pre-construction & commercial oversight/delivery, for a range of major transit and heavy civil engineering projects, in sectors such as aviation/airports, rail, highways/roads, bridges, or other infrastructure, valued at a minimum of £20m-£30m+.
