Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commercial function during the construction phase of my client's wind, solar and BESS projects.
- Manage the tender process for consultants, contractors, and suppliers, providing necessary reports and recommendations.
- Prepare contract documents for major suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements.
- Handle valuations, payments, claims, settlement of Final Accounts, and other commercial matters during construction.
- Work with the project team to address commercial issues related to land, planning, technical, finance, services, and sales contracts.
- Perform project management tasks during the development and construction phases if required.
- Maintain key relationships to minimize disputes and achieve mutually acceptable outcomes.
- Support the development of a diverse and skilled team for succession planning and talent development.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying OR a related construction commercial qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction commercial role.
- Client-side experience in the renewables or other development sectors.
