We are looking for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a child who is new to the school who is largely independent but requires occasional support for visual impairment. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing tailored support to ensure the child’s full inclusion in the classroom environment.
Support will be provided by Trafford Sensory Impairment Support Services.
Requirements:
Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Experience of working with children in a school or educational setting.
Understanding of child development and learning strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
Knowledge of safeguarding practices and the ability to uphold the school’s safeguarding policies.
A genuine passion for helping children succeed in their learning.
Desirable:
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
First Aid or relevant additional qualifications.
