£OTE 35 - 45K, BS30, Bonus 40 hour standard week with paid overtime, Monday to Friday working, 28 days holiday, Pension, Permanent opportunity.

The duties of the service engineer or mechanical service engineer or field service fitter, will be servicing, repairing, delivering and installation of mechanical equipment at various locations.

The service engineer role will involve

- Mechanical repair, servicing, fitting and installation duties
- This is normally to customer sites but can also be in the workshop
- Changing bearings, rollers, motors at site locations and facilities
- The ability to read basic engineering drawings is preferred
- Likely to be around 50 hours most weeks (paid ovetrime)






- knowledge of conveyors or similar types of production machinery or mechanical material handling equipment would be of particular interest but not essential
- Ability to liaise in person with customers providing a professional, responsible point of contact
- Working and travelling individually or sometimes in a team of two
- Full driving licence required but transit van remains at depot
- Ability to attend the depot daily to pick van up and start work early when travelling to different locations i.e. 6am starts with overnight stays (fully expensed and overnight night allowance) 3 or 4 times a month on average

The service engineer skills and requirements

·Would suit someone with previous experience of working with and or servicing mechanical machinery or equipment.
·Any knowledge of conveyors or similar types of production machinery or mechanical material handling equipment would be of interest.
·Any engineering qualifications are of interest but not essential if a suitable work history can be demonstrated.






·The successful candidate will have previously worked within a Service Engineering or production environment and will have mechanical fitting and repair/maintenance or transferable skills.
·A current and full Driving licence is essential
