Job summary
This is a new role at a Mpowa. We are looking for a young, talented and motivated social media marketing intern to help us grow our digital presence on social media.

The role reports to the social media manager.

Candidate requirements:
Must-haves:
● Very good knowledge of how to navigate all social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube & Tiktok.
● Strong ability to create social media images and posts with tools such as Canva or Visme or Adobe Spark.
● A keen eye for detail when it comes to created social media content
● Must be passionate about the environment and betterment of society
Desirable:
● 1-2 years creating social media content for a B2C company
● A decent following on your personal social media accounts
● Video edited experience with platforms such as Wondershare or Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro
Responsibilities and tasks
● Creating and posting social media content to drive more traffic to the website
● Engaging in comments and posts to increase Mpowa social visibility
● Editing promotional videos/interviews/podcasts
● Gathering Data for marketing campaigns
● Responsible for blogging content on behalf of management team.
Salary range:
Initially this is an unpaid role while Mpowa is raising seed capital. However, the intention is to convert to a paid position after approx 3 months, circa January 2025.

Depending on your results, dedication and quality of work, this could be a full time working contract. Progression would consist of graduating to a Digital Marketing Executive. Once the business grows,
you would also have the opportunity to grow a digital marketing team and hold the title of Digital Marketing Manager and then Head of Digital Marketing. Eventually, we want our digital marketing Intern to be a director of the business.
