SEN Assistant - MaidenheadImmediate Start - Full-TimeTeaching Assistant for children with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs
Calling all aspiring psychologists, therapists, counsellors and teachers.
Academics LTD are working with an outstanding Special Education Needs (SEN) school in Reading seeking a SEN Assistant. Position would require working on a 1:1 and group basis with SEN students. This is a full-time long-term role, and the school are looking for the SEN Assistant to start ASAP.
The SEN Assistant role will entail supporting children from the ages: 3-18, with a range of needs: Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities and communication difficulties.
The SEN Assistant will also require close collaboration with other SEN practitioners and members of staff, to promote well-being of students, as well as completion of Learning Milestones and academic objectives.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Compassionate and positive mind-set
- Demonstrated Interest in working with children or in Mental Health
Facilities include Art/IT/Drama rooms, large outdoor field and an exceptional sports hall.Staff culture is supportive and inclusive. The team is seeking a friendly new member to join their SEN classroom!
