We are looking for an information and communications enthusiast to add a touch of sparkle to our marketing and engagement services for our award winning Careers and Employability team.
Background
Careers & Employability is pivotal in supporting City St George's to deliver a student experience that combines academic excellence with a focus on employability. Studying at City St George's enables our graduates to develop the intellectual capacity, skills and personal attributes required to move into the graduate position they desire, while also fostering the mindset and attitude necessary to embark on a rewarding lifelong career.
As career aspirations are unique to each individual,
we deliver a service that is focused on the student and which delivers Careers Information, Advice and Guidance tailored to their needs as they progress through their studies.
Responsibilities
This role provides careers information to City St George's students and recent graduates to develop their career management skills and enhance their employability. The role has two main areas of responsibility:
a. Plan, develop and deliver marketing, communications and social media activity to enable the Careers & Employability team to deliver activities and programmes that will effectively engage students with their career learning.
b. Maintain, create and publish digital careers information content on topics and sectors of interest for our students and graduates
Both areas will be underpinned by research into the employability needs of City St George’s students and graduates and the changing labour market.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Experience of working on marketing and communications campaigns in a professional setting; excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collect, analyse, interpret and present information effectively.
You will be able to write compelling and engaging content for websites, email newsletters and social media communications, for a range of audiences, with good attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
