UK Retail Banking is core in the successful delivery of the HBUK and WPB global strategy. UK Retail Banking has end to end Journey ownership for the most significant customer journeys in the UK, including Buying a Home, Unsecured Lending and Everyday Banking.

WPB UK has 20 million cards in circulation and is a huge scale multifaceted business. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact to our customers to ensure our journeys work and resolve issues quickly. Over our card estate we have dual schemes Mastercard and Visa which adds to intricacy of the management of our systems.

In this role you will:
- Be accountable for Operations and Processing in WPB UK looking after the customer journeys for Cards and Unsecured products
- Be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations and processing functions for card and unsecured product journeys, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence in card processing activities
- Lead the response on behalf of Cards (both Debit and Credit) and Unsecured products for operational management of customer journeys
- Oversee the processes that happen in the UK Operations and including journeys such as disputes, direct debit, balance transfers, s75 customer journeys.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience in card operations/processing within the financial services industry
- Experience in a senior management role with responsibility for card/ unsecured operations
- In-depth knowledge of card processing systems, payment networks, and related technologies
- Customer centric approach to journeys
- Excellent time and people management skills with proven ability to deliver multiple initiatives in parallel
This role is based in Birmingham, Leeds, Chester, Sheffield or London.
