The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Network Support Officer (2nd Line) to join our Information Systems and Network Services team. The successful candidate will provide vital IT support for staff and students at both Oldham College and University Campus Oldham, ensuring the effective operation of our computer systems and networks.
Key Responsibilitie
- s:Provide day-to-day support for the College’s IT infrastructure, ensuring hardware, software, and network components are operationa
- l.Assist staff and students with troubleshooting issues, maintaining communication on progress via the IT Helpdes
- k.Manage network accounts and assist with the maintenance of network hardware such as switches, servers, and multimedia device
- s.Assist the 1st Line Support team with IT equipment setup, fault resolution, and supplier coordinatio
- n.Ensure IT assets are recorded accurately and undertake regular hardware/software audit
- s.Support the installation and maintenance of legitimate software across the College’s system
- s.Monitor network health and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulation
- s.Occasionally work outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends, for major network maintenance and upgrade

Qualifications & Experie
