Adult Care Services
Salary - Grade 10 – £40,833 - £42,840
London Borough of Croydon
Not afraid of a challenge? We need committed knowledgeable social workers to help us with our core business – empowering and supporting people who need signposting, community support, or even some direct help from the Council. We have a strong operating model of strength-based practice.
At this difficult time the Council Leadership has made clear their support for our statutory functions, including Adult Social Care. We know where our priorities are.
We have an established and stable base of Team Managers to work with you and support you, our vacancy rates are low - and we rarely use agency staff,
preferring to concentrate our efforts on looking after our permanent staff. This includes having a dedicated Training officer supporting adult social care, and a Principal Social Worker to support staff welfare and practice. We have also recently upgraded our electronic recording system.
Social worker.
You are expected to have post qualifying experience and be prepared to take on some supervision and support of health and wellbeing assessors. You will form part of the duty rota to undertake daily duty work and provide professional support and guidance to other staff as and when required, under the oversight of a senior duty worker.
LIFE Team
This post is in our LIFE team focusing on hospital discharge via the discharge to assess process. The work is short term but fast paced and some weekend working is required on a rota basis. You will work with other professionals in an integrated service providing strength-based assessments for reablement in peoples own homes.
