Job Title : Principal Social Worker
Location : Hendon, London
Salary : £48,000 per annum
Contract Type : Full-Time, Permanent
Our client is looking for an experienced Principal Social Worker to join their expanding team in Hendon. This flexible 9-5 role, with the potential for one day of remote work, offers a key leadership position within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess parenting capacity and provide support to families.
- Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and attend court as needed.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, including family support workers and student social workers.
- Review referrals, conduct viability assessments, and attend key meetings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including National Minimum Standards and the Children Act.
- Manage a caseload of families, providing ongoing support and delivering reports on time.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Minimum 2 years experience in child protection or a similar role.
- Strong court experience and ability to manage caseloads effectively.
- Confident team player with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Familiarity with residential family services and data protection principles.
