Job description
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Leaving Care / Personal Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance to young people transitioning from care to independence.
About the role :
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives :
- Manage a caseload of young people, developing and reviewing Pathway Plans to support their journey to independence.
- Conduct timely Pathway Assessments in collaboration with young people, carers, and social workers.
- Participate in office duty arrangements and provide emergency cover as needed.
- Offer guidance on accommodation, education, training, and employment,
and facilitate access to necessary services.
- Engage with external agencies to ensure holistic support for young people, promoting their involvement in service design.
About you :
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience :
- Experience working directly with children in care and care leavers, both individually and in group settings.
- Experience of undertaking high-quality and analytical Pathway Assessments, Human Rights Assessments, and Personal Educational Plans for looked-after children and young people.
- Experience working with young people who have faced social exclusion within a multicultural, inner-city environment.
- Experience in supporting young people through their transition to independence.
What's on offer : Salary : £19+ph
Salary : £19+ph
may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type : 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours : Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
