The Global R&D; Digital Innovation Project Manager will lead the development and implementation of digital tools and strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the R&D; function. This role involves business product owner for the Global Innovation Gating and portfolio management tool, and developing and delivering a comprehensive digital roadmap for R&D.;
Key Responsibilities:
R&D; Digital Roadmap Development & Delivery
- Understand current digital tool use and business needs for R&D.;
- Understand industry & external best practice for digitalisation of R&D; and bring recommendation of opportunities to pladis.
- Use internal and external networks to continuously assess gaps and opportunities.
- Build & start implementation of the 3-year R&D; digital strategy aligned with R&D; strategic goals.
- Align roadmap with R&D; leadership teams & key stakeholders.
- Identify and roll out regional R&D; best practices as part of the strategy.
- Co-lead the Digitisation Community of Practice (COP): Coordinate relevant agendas, foster an inclusion environment to share best practice & challenges ensuring these align with business goals.
Product Owner for Global Innovation Gating and Portfolio Management Tool (Planview)
- Prioritize & manage implementation of backlog requests with IS technical teams.
- Create and deliver UAT training materials, consolidate feedback from users, and troubleshoot defects.
- For projects (e.g. global gating) ensure timelines & risks are proactively managed and lead any business UAT requirements & Launch to users.
- Lead the super user community to ensure change management for business needs & bugs.
- Ensure business reporting needs are met from the tool and support superusers with their skills building and creating & designing relevant reports.
- Develop any end-user training materials.
- Business escalation point for IS tickets & bugs.
- Ensure business governance when authorizing licence & project access.
- Ensure business governance is followed on Stage & Gate.
- Create a self-service training library and support data migration efforts.
- Escalate issues to the steering committee with proposed recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in R&D; environments & familiar with digital innovation tools.
- Strong understanding of portfolio management tools and digital transformation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross regional teams and manage multiple priorities.
