Job description
To be responsible for student mentoring, monitoring and intervention as part of the role of Progress Coach in Health and Early Years.
The area covers students studying in Health and Social Care and Early Years. To support students’ induction, performance, progress and progression.
To be responsible for a caseload of students, and to work with them in 1;1 or in group to improve their attendance and approach to full time study.
To check and monitor student attendance to support college key objectives within their caseload. To provide support to students and to set high standards for their behaviour and engagement with the college.
Key communication with stake holder such as parent and guardians.

Write reports, collate data and undertake administrative tasks as required to achieve the main duties outlined above,
Educated to a minimum of Level 3 with at least a Grade C in English at Level 2
- Safeguarding qualification at Level 2 or a willingness to work towards Experience
- Knowledge and experience of working with young people
- Experience of working in a student-centred environment Skills, knowledge and abilities
- Ability to work with and motivate young people both individually and in groups
- Ability to contribute to the wider student experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Achieved a vocational qualification within the area to level 3
