Part-Time, SEN Teaching Assistant job vacancy Reading, Berkshire.

Location : This role is based in Reading, Berkshire, with easy access to surrounding towns and villages within a 30-minute drive, such as Henley-on-Thames, Sonning, Caversham, Emmer Green, Pangbourne, and Goring.

Duties :

- Support teachers in daily classroom activities, seeking guidance as needed.






- Collaborate with the class team to provide engaging educational experiences for children with Autism and severe / moderate learning difficulties.
- Uphold safeguarding and promote student welfare in line with school policies.

This role is within a brand-new residential school designed to support children with Autism and moderate to severe learning disabilities.

Criteria :

- Experience and knowledge of supporting SEN pupils.
- Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures.
- Ability to manage various behaviour approaches,





including challenging behaviours.
- Prior experience in education is beneficial.
- Experience in a multicultural, inclusive setting.

Skills :

- Commitment to child-centered care, treating each child as an individual.
- Creative and positive approach to meeting student needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with colleagues and professionals.
- Proficient in numeracy, literacy, and ICT.
