Job Title : RiskOps RiskAnalyst

Overview :
Thisrole is the key support to the Operational Risk department in the2nd Line of Defence oversight role. The job holder must be anselfmotivated individual who will work with an Operational RiskManager to liaise with the business areas and not afraid tochallenge as a member of the 2
Line ofdefence.
WhatYou Will BeDoing :
Operational RiskManagement
- Support the implementationof the groupwide framework.
- Organization andfacilitation of risk management workshops (e.g. RCSA workshopsetc.)
- Coordination and facilitation of theimplementation of the various risk management policies andprocedures
- Identification of operational risksand the definition of appropriate controls
- Development of action plans to mitigate riskschallenge and test the effectiveness ofcontrols.
- Analysis of risk data such as lossevents and other incidents and Key Risk Indicators
- Investigation of risk events and incidents
- Provide daytoday direction guidance trainingand support to the 1
Line of Defence foroperationalrisk.
QualityControl
- Quality control of OperationalRisk Management projects
- Ensure capture ofOperational Risk Events and Actions are accuratelyreflected.
ChangeManagement
Participate in thedevelopment of new products business initiatives and changemanagement projects to ensure risks arecaptured
Cooperationwith risk and control functions
Cooperation with risk and controlfunctions across theunit / group
OperationalRisk Reporting
- Prepare actionable(consolidated) risk reports for both internal and externalstakeholders.
- Prepare Operational RiskManagement reporting to the local / group senior management andrelevant governance committees
- Reporting on theprogress against the approved operational risk managementplanning
Developmentof operational risk policies and procedures
- Participate in the development ofbest practices for operational risk management at the group andunit level to ensure that ABC groups risk management processes arealigned to regulations and industry practices
- Acting as sounding board for new riskmanagementinitiatives
RaiseAwareness for Operational Risk Training
- Conduct training and provide guidanceto staff on all aspects of operational riskmanagement.
- Disseminate and explain policiesand procedures for operational riskmanagement
Other
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as directed bythe Head of Operational Risk
- Provide oversighton the application of the Operational Risk Framework by the 1stLine of Defence
- Assist the business areas withthe documentation of operational risk events with root causeanalysis
- Coordinate production of OperationalRisk Key Risk Indicator data review and challenge thebusiness
- Review and monitor actions undertakenby the 1st Line of Defence in respect of operational risks andevents
- Participate in the preparation of theannual Operational Risk ICAAP as directed by the Head ofOperational Risk
- Participate in the annualreview of the Operational riskregister
- Identify potential areas ofoperational risk and control weaknesses in the business proposeremedial actions
- Support the Head ofOperational Risk in the production of Operational Risk Committeematerials
- Attend the Operational Risk Committeeand other Committees when requested
- Support theHead of Operational Risk in collation analysis and reporting ofoperational risk data
- Participate in testing ofthe effectiveness of controls
- Build effectiverelationships withstakeholders
CandidateSpecification :
Experiencein Risk and or Audit in the financial industry
Practicalworking experience with data
Practical knowledge financialservices
Understanding of the ABCIBs regulatoryenvironment
Broad knowledge of operational riskdisciplines information security business continuity and disasterrecovery compliance
Relevant knowledge of industryprocess control and risk frameworks
Professionalqualification in risk management desirable but not essential
Evidence of professional development.
2 5 yearsexperience within financial services sector
Building andraising awareness of issues and influencing the direction andactions
Excellent communication skills both written andverbal
Ability to influence and drive through an agendaof change and articulate the benefits to a varied audience
Strong presentation skills with the ability toeffectively relate theory with practical application of concepts
Able to interpret and analyze multiple sources of dataand provide clear and coherent summary reports
Confidentin the disciplines for delivering change and process managementacross the organization
Ability to learn and adopt newpractices and techniques
Manage a number of complexworkflows and respond to urgent requests
Capable ofbuilding constructive working relationships provide challenge andinfluence people at all levels ofseniority
