CAD Engineer - 3 Month FTC
Main purpose of the role :
- Creating the design data together with the engineering team to ensure that product designs are manufacturing and tool feasible.
- Ensuring that design solutions meet the program requirements
Main Objectives and Results :
- Plans, organizes and conducts activities within its area in an effective manner towards achieving common objectives of IAC as well as the IAC Group.
- Reports deviations from the standard and takes appropriate measures and corrective actions.
- Support Product Engineering and other support personnel to achieve design feasibility and in engineering changes.
- Responsible for creating the CAD data according the inputs given by product engineering & customer data.
- Cooperate with PDT to achieve design feasibility.
- Ensures that product designs consider :
- design for assembly
- design for manufacture
- quality functional deployment
- finite element analysis data
- dimensional variation analysis (In conjunction with DVA specialist).
- Support PDT in engineering changes.
- Creates additional data sets as required by the program e.g. 2D drawing, section book, visualization files, exploded views etc.
acc. IAC internal & customer requirements.
- Pulling out and archiving CAD data into internal and customer-based data applications (e.g. PDM systems).
- Prepare perspective illustrations to improve concept visualization and understanding.
- Utilizes CAD and manual design equipment with emphasis on compatibility.
- Participates in design review meetings.
- Support all general activities within their scope of work.
- Co-corresponds for new projects implemented in the company through active participation and opinions on projects in the subordinate.
Preferred Skills and Experience :
- Demonstrable experience in automotive instrument panel or interior trim design or 3 years' experience in automotive interior design
- Bachelor in design or engineering
- Knowledge of customer requirements and company manufacturing product and processes
- Experience in surface development desirable
- Knowledge in plastic engineering tooling and manufacturing
- Fluent English
- FMEA training or proven year experience in automotive production sector in engineering department
- Audits - ISO19011 training or proven experience in automotive production sector (IATF 16949, VDA)
- Analytical approach to problems
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
