About us
The study of Physics at King's dates back to the foundation of the College in 1829. The Department is currently undergoing significant growth with substantial investment in new appointments,
research infrastructure and laboratory space refurbishment. We offer a range of UG courses in both three-year (BSc) and 4-year (MSci) versions as well as MSc and PhD programmes.

Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral research position in Curt von Keyserlingk’s group at King’s College London.
About the role
The research will involve the topic of quantum information in many-body systems.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in analytical approaches to many-body systems and quantum information, and/or with strong track-record in numerical physics (particularly tensor network methods).
This is a full time post (35 hours per week) and will be offered on a fixed term contract for two years.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Ph.D.
degree in theoretical physics or closely related fields before the beginning of the position.
2. Expertise in analytical methods in many-body physics.
3. Candidate must have a PhD in theoretical physics/quantum information before starting date of role.
4. Some knowledge of numerical methods in many-body physics.
5. Ability to clearly communicate their scientific results.
Desirable criteria
1. Expertise in tensor-network methods.
