Full job description
The purpose of this role is to enhance, develop and drive forward our data services into new and exciting spaces, remove friction of use whilst working with Product marketing on uptake of the existing portfolio. Duties will include acting as the Product Owner working primarily with the members, member success and technology team to translate Cifas’ vision into product strategy as well as the identification and launch of new product capabilities.
A key part will be in spotting new opportunities, identify new fraud patterns and deliver solutions that increase adoption and attraction of our services.
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong Product management/owner skills, knowledge of data services and experience working for a B2B enterprise software as a service provider ideally in the financial crime, fraud or identity areas. The individual must have strong communication, analytical and organisation skills, the ability to work cross-functionally and leverage teams across the business to implement the strategy. This role will work most closely with Head of Product, Product Marketing, New initiatives, Research and Development, Leadership, Finance, Sales, Membership success, and Communications in order to implement this strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders on defining the data services product strategy, whilst also collating feedback from internal stakeholders, customers and prospects.
- Define, own,
document and prioritise the data products and services roadmap and manage the products throughout their lifecycle acting as Product Owner for our Agile Sprint processes.
- Own and develop the go to market strategy and requirements for your products with comms, marketing, and product marketing.
- Collect, manage, and maintain visibility of requirements from all stakeholders across the product portfolio, as well as working closely with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships.
- Become one of the recognised experts in the business on these products, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
- Perform product demos to prospective and existing members while developing relationships with key members and represent voice of the customer.
- Work collaboratively with relevant departments across Cifas to ensure delivery and measured uptake of new services and features, monitor, report and improve product performance and satisfaction.
- Manage key product performance indicators and report back benefit measures
- Run trials and MVPs, develop and deliver go to market launch plans
- Undertake market and competitor research with Product Marketing and Manage development and marketing projects to deliver to plan
- Promote the products to internal stakeholders and members through training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other creative delivery channels
- Undertake other duties as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Skills - Demonstrable experience in end-to-end product ownership
- Experience – 5+ years’ experience in product ownership
- Knowledge – Thorough understanding product management methodologies and agile working practices
- Proven ability to manage a large stakeholder network comprised of diverse roles and personal interests.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility, trust, and influence at all levels.
- Evidenced experience in managing data centric services.
- Strong Product management/owner skills, knowledge of data services and experience working for a B2B enterprise software as a service provider ideally in the financial crime, fraud or identity areas.
Desirable
- Ability to manage multiple products at once, project management experience.
- Drive innovation through data analysis.
- Ability to work at the strategic level (e.g. generating innovative ideas and new use cases for growth) and at the tactical level (e.g. product readiness and sales enablement).
- Familiarity with Financial crime, Fraud prevention and/or the Digital Identity markets.
- Knowledge of forums or member organisations
- Articulate, personable and professional with very strong communication skills.
- Strong communication, analytical and organisation skills, the ability to work cross-functionally and leverage teams across the business to implement the strategy.
- Meticulous attention to detail, excellent stakeholder management, and the capacity to work across multiple areas simultaneously.
- Excellent communication approach with engaging written skills,
works effectively within a team, understands the impact of own actions on colleagues.
