Are you a dynamic and commercially minded young professional who loves travel and meeting new people? Join a dynamic business at an exciting stage of growth, and support 100's of schools around the world to solve the global teacher crisis.

We think you will thrive in this role if you:

Are a confident, dynamic person who is able to engage with stakeholders at all levels and build strong relationships with individuals and businesses

Equipped with a few relevant years of commercial experience in sales and business development

Are an avid world traveller looking for an opportunity to gain significant experience that would usually come much later in your career

Possess a commercial mindset, keen to develop industry knowledge, sales and marketing skills essential to a future in any commercial industry

Lanterna is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and although we are open to hybrid-remote, our preference is for a Stockholm based candidate.

About Lanterna Education

Lanterna is a dynamic, fast-growing online teaching company dedicated to unlocking every student's potential. We provide exceptional live online education to IB (International Baccalaureate) students worldwide, delivered by a network of top IB graduates and outstanding IB teachers. Together with our sister company Kognity, we are on a mission to radically improve learning for the world's students. Our environment is vibrant, caring, and creatively charged.

About the role

Lanterna’s Schools team solves the teacher crisis for a global network of schools, providing short and long-term online teaching coverage. Although Lanterna has been around for almost 20 years, providing unrivalled tutoring and prep courses for students, the B2B arm of our business is still nascent but growing extremely fast. In our first full year of operation, we have grown rapidly, now serving over 100 IB schools around the world.

You will be joining at an exciting time, with an established and loved business model, and huge potential for growth over the coming years. We're a vibrant and fun small team spread across Europe, and we're looking for passionate individuals to join us on our mission to transform learning.

As we serve a global market of schools, we have split our territories into the Americas, EMEA and APAC (Asia Pacific).

This role will drive sales and growth for the entire Asia Pacific region which will mean meeting stakeholders during their time zones and in their regions, so get ready to travel! You will work closely with the SREs for the Americas and EMEA to make group-wide decisions and will be responsible for your own sales and marketing budget for your territory.

We really believe in what we offer, and you will have the exciting job of letting the IB world know about it. In any given week, you will be attending a conference, travelling to Asia to run demos for school leaders exploring our school solutions, or busy on email and phone doing outreach to generate leads building a pipeline of future opportunities.

You will be meeting so many interesting and important people across the international school sector that your strategic thinking will also be important, picking up on trends in the industry which we can use to enhance our product, as well as our marketing and sales techniques.

We're not just looking for a team member – we're looking for a future leader. Over the next 2 to 3 years, you may have the opportunity to build and lead your own team under your expert guidance.

About You

A recent university graduate (0-5 years) or junior teacher with an IB background

Boundless and infectious enthusiasm for international education

A ‘can do’ attitude which will see you taking phone calls from airports and designing marketing initiatives on train rides

A extremely strong bias to action

Extremely tech-savvy, with CRM experience a bonus

Inspire trust in customers and partners through tonality and dialogue

A team player who celebrates overall success more than their own

Working knowledge of Asian-Pacific business culture and schools is a bonus

Skills

Energetic: You will be on the move!

Communication: In this role, every week will be different, and so positive, engaging communication is key. You will also deal with stakeholders at all levels, and so being relatable both to senior and junior stakeholders is vital.

Growth mindset: We need talent with the capacity and desire to manage, direct and impact our future. Is that you?

Organisational Skills: Highly organised both individually and as a manager, with hunger for taking on wider responsibilities across our fast growing company.

Our Culture

We pride ourselves on our diversity, openness, flat hierarchy, transparency, authenticity, entrepreneurial spirit, and team orientation. We seek ambitious individuals who are not only eager to make a meaningful impact but are also committed to continuous self-improvement and to enhancing the capabilities of their colleagues.

Interview process

Intro Call with Team Lead: Have an informal 10 minute chat with Tim to learn more about the role and ensure it is a cultural match.

Hiring Manager Hangout: Connect with Tim & Eric (VP Sales) for a more in-depth conversation. Uncover the nitty-gritty details of the role and get to know each other.

Meet the wider team: Online meet and greet with the rest of the schools team

Case study:

Solve a real schools marketing challenge and present your case to the team.

We are looking for someone who can join our team soon. We hope that's you!
