Energy Aspects is currently seeking a Natural Gas Analyst to join our growing research team based in our London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for energy and research, combined with excellent Excel skills and a critical thinking approach to analysis.

Attention to detail is very important and a good level of written English is also required. Some prior experience of the European gas market is desirable although not necessary.

The role involves building and maintaining data models, gathering information from market contacts, our subscriptions and publicly available data and media reports,





using this information to make forward-looking views on the market and providing these views to clients through written reports and oral presentations.

The role will also involve presenting our views to the media.

Your work will go towards informing our demanding client base which values our ability to make informed forecasts on the market.

Our clients range from trading firms to institutional investors, regulators and governments.

This position will require flexibility, and the drive to ensure we all fulfil our shared goals. All team members are encouraged to build their professional reputation within the industry and are supported by some of the most well-regarded energy sector commentators.

Key Responsibilities

- Running and improving some of our European proprietary supply-demand models.
- Sourcing information relevant to these models.






- Contributing to the team’s market views.
- Writing succinct analysis to a high standard of written English.
- Continuously expanding our network of contacts to exchange market information
- Presenting to clients and prospects

Requirements

- A strong track record of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- A keen interest in energy markets.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- An excellent standard of written English

Desirable Skills :

- Econometric and statistical modelling experience.
- Experience analysing the gas market.
- Good presenting skills.
- Technical / data analysis skills such as Python, R, Eviews etc.
- Fluency in some European languages.
