Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Geography lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum guidelines.
- Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and guidance to support their academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative and supportive learning community.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in geography education and adapt teaching practices accordingly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching Geography at the primary or secondary level.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for Geography.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
