Job description
Tradewind are recruiting secondary trained student teachers NOW for a September 2024 start to work with our partner secondary schools in the Ormskirk and Skelmersdale area.
If you are yet to secure a post for September and want to register with an agency as a backup option or you prefer the flexibility that supply offers then please get in touch.
Registering with Tradewind allows you to work in a variety of Ormskirk and Skelmersdale secondary schools to develop your experience and concentrate on what you do best, teach!
We are recruiting for teachers who can offer any secondary based subjects including :
- English
- Science
- Maths
- Design Technology
- Computer Science
- Modern Foreign Languages
- Humanities
- Business Studies
- Psychology

We are looking for secondary student teachers NOW to register and be ready to work in the Ormskirk and Skelmersdale area this September 2024.
The beauty of registering with Tradewind is that you we can help you gain exposure to as many different settings and teaching roles as you like, helping to develop your experience and enhance your teaching skills - all whilst still being able to work towards your Induction whilst on supply / long-term positions.
So, can you complete your Induction whilst on supply?
Yes you can! You can complete your Induction by working full terms in different schools or should we be able to secure you a long-term position of a full academic year, this will also enable you to complete part of your Induction.
Only placements of one full term will count towards your Induction, and you need to complete the full time equivalent of two full academic years.

We have developed our CPD courses to help hone the necessary skills in the classroom you'll need as an ECT, such as :
Interview Techniques
How to plan a good lesson in accordance with OFSTED
Effective Questioning in the Classroom
Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Safeguarding
